Live in or Live out Care jobs at Active Assistance

Working as a Live in or Live out Personal Assistant (also known as a Support Worker or a Care Assistant), with Active Assistance, a leading specialist care agency is the ideal role for those people looking for rewarding and flexible care jobs in the UK.

As a leading care provider, our philosophy is to enable our physically disabled children and adults to live independently at home by providing a fully trained live in or live out carer to support them in their own home. That’s why we refer to our care staff as Personal Care Assistants (PAs) and not carers because your role is to work under the direction of the client, in line with the care plan or in the case of a child in line with the care plan and under parental guidance.

Live-in Care Work

As a live in Personal Assistant (Care Worker / Support Worker) you will be working with adults and children who are paralysed as a result of a spinal cord injury, neurological condition or an acquired brain injury.

A live in care job with Active Assistance is based on pre-arranged assignments so you can choose when to work and when not to. When you are working as a live in Personal Assistant you will be provided with food and accommodation. This can be a great role for someone looking to work and travel or can be a very rewarding gap year. We also welcome applicants aiming to gain valuable community experience; looking to follow a career in Nursing, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy.

Please note that you must be 18 years or older and ideally hold a full driving licence to do live- in care work. This is because you may be required to drive the client’s car. NB You do not need to own a car to carry out this care work.

Live-out Care Work

As a live-out Personal Assistant (Care Assistant / Support Worker), you will naturally be working reasonably close to where you live. As such these jobs are extremely rewarding for those individuals who want to support and provide care to individuals in a community setting over the longer term. We have children, young people and adult clients and welcome individuals with NNEB or CACHE childcare qualifications.

You will become part of the client’s professional care team and will support the client in their everyday needs. Shift times vary and there is a variety of work on offer to suit your availability, including days, waking nights or sleeping nights. We also have term- time only positions supporting children at school.
