Andrew Allan BSc, Managing Director Andrew joined Active in 2002 following a successful career in
the Drinks Industry! His father, Bill Allan, founded the
Company back in 1992. Andrew's work supporting spinal cord
injured people was recognised recently when he won the Manager
of a Specialist Service category at the 2007 Annual Ceretas
Home Care Awards. |

Kate Tamblyn, National Care Service Manager Kate has held a number of senior positions within the domiciliary care sector including Allied Healthare, Prestige Nursing and most recently Advantage Healthcare. Kate manages our Care Service Management Team. |

Jane Jordan CIPD, HR Manager Jane is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and has many years recruitment and employment experience. Jane is responsible for the recruitment and employment of the PAs. |

Paul Stewart MAAT, Finance Manager Paul is an accountant by trade and is responsible for all the Company's financial operations including PA payroll, billing and management reporting. |

Amanda Pettitt BA (Hons), Training Manager Amanda has an NVQ Level 4 In Care qualification and is an NVQ Assessor, Moving and Handling Trainer and has extensive experience in the care sector. |

Angela Wicks RGN, Care Service Manager (South West) Angela is spinal trained nurse (since 1991) and has been working within the disability field for 15 years. She has been a volunteer for Back Up (a spinal injuries charity) for over 10 years and is a qualified Moving and Handling Trainer and Assessor. |

Samantha Cole RGN, Care Service Manager (London & Home Counties) Sam qualified in 1989 and has had many years of hospital based experience in various medical and surgical specialities. She has worked with people with long term conditions and in medical rehabilitation. Sam is a trainer in Moving and Handling and Infection Control. She has a special interest in Diabetes Care. |

Michelle Parry RGN, Care Service Manager (Midlands) Michelle qualified in 1989 and for the past 5 years has worked in roles specialising in continence management. In addition to her clinical expertise, Michelle has experience of recruiting, training & developing care staff with particular focus on Moving & Handling, Risk Assessment and Continence Management. |

Helen Thom, Care Service Manager (North) Helen qualified in 1980 and for the past 5 years has worked in roles with a particular focus on spinal cord injury. From 2002 to 2006 Helen worked as a Staff Nurse at the Princess Royal Spinal Injuries Unit in Sheffied. More recently Helen has worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist working with clients with complex care needs, including spinal cord injury. |

Amanda Miles, Care Coordination Manager Amanda joined the team in October 2006 and has responsibility of the planning PA assignments with our Clients. |

Dina Macey, Snr Care Coordinator Dina works with Amanda, managing the process of assigning PAs to work with our Clients. |

Becky Farrell, Care Cooordination Administrator Becky works alongside Amanda Miles and Dina as a member of the Care Coordination Team. She is responsible for all assignment paperwork and formal confirmation correspondence. |

Heather Stonestreet, HR Administrator Heather works in our HR Department, dealing with staff employment related matters. She is currently studying for her CIPD qualification. |

Sophie Tarrant, Resourcer Sophie is responsible for attracting and sourcing the right number and calibre of PA candidates for each of our Recruitment Days. She works closely with Heather and Jane as a member of the HR Team. |

Isobel Watkins, Care Service Administrator Isobel provides office based support to the Care Service Managers. |

Susan Thompson, Trainer Susan worked as a PA for Active Assistance for two years before moving into a PA training role. |

Kate Newman, Office Clerk Kate joined us in December 2006, supporting the Management Team and ensuring the smooth running of the office. |
