There are many benefits of live-in support
For people with intensive support needs, traditional care models are often inadequate. All too often users of care at home services find themselves living their life around an agency's staffing rota. It doesn't have to be that way.
Our PAs live in the your home and so are available to respond far more flexibly to your needs. Last minute changes of plan can easily be accommodated.
It's often difficult to get good continuity of support, we often hear stories of people seeing more than 10 different 'faces' a week.
Our PAs typically work 2 or 3 weeks on, followed by a week off. This means that you will work with the same PA 3 weeks out of 4 (Their week off is covered by a PA from our experienced team).
Being in control is important for our Clients because they understand their own needs better than anyone.
Our PAs work under your direction and under your day to day control. They have been trained to enable you and this includes everything from household chores to driving your car.
It's important that PAs have an understanding of our Clients condition so that they can support them effectively.
Our PAs receive specialist training to enable them to work under the direction of people with long term conditions such as spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis.
A live-in PA from Active Assistance will give you the freedom and control that traditional live-out care simply cannot provide.
