Work Patterns & Pay

As a live-in carer, you should expect to be available for work between 21 and 25 days each month.  The normal work pattern is 2-3 weeks on assignment (8-10 hours per day) followed by time off.  Organising the work pattern this way ensures the Client receives the continuity of care that is so critical whilst allowing you to take breaks on a regular basis.  Many of our PAs who come to the UK on a working holiday use this time off to travel.

As a PA working for Active, you can expect:

• Free food and accommodation whilst working.
• Starting salary up to £430 per week.
• 6 monthly salary reviews, taking your salary up to £504 per week after 2 years.
• Paid holiday, equivalent to 1 day for every 11 days worked.
