Work Patterns & Pay

As a live-in Personal Care Assistant, you should expect to be available for work between 21 and 24 days each month. The normal work pattern is 2-3 weeks on assignment (8-10 hours per day) followed by time off. Organising the work pattern this way ensures our Clients receive the continuity of care that is so critical whilst allowing you to take breaks on a regular basis. Many of our PAs who come to the UK on a working holiday use this time off to travel.

As a Personal Care Assistant working for Active, you can expect:

  • Free food and accommodation whilst working.
  • Earn up to £469 per week. (Opportunity to increase this to £518 under a Regular Place of Work Agreement)
  • 28 days paid holiday, equivalent to 1 day for every 9 days worked
  • Opportunities for free UK and overseas travel.
  • Subsidised staff accommodation between assignments.
  • In House NVQ Programe, accredited by Edexcel
